About The Position

EAH Housing is hiring a full-time Janitor at Kukui Tower, a 380-unit family affordable housing community in Honolulu, Hawaii. The property is a HUD and Tax Credit community. The Janitor/Groundskeeper maintains indoor and outdoor property areas and conducts routine property checks to ensure they are clean and well maintained. The position also assists the Maintenance Technician with repairs and common-area cleaning as needed. Light maintenance experience and basic computer skills for training are required. Candidates should have at least one year of janitorial or grounds experience; apartment-community experience is preferred. The stated salary range is $18.05–$25.65 per hour. The hiring range for new employees is generally $18.05–$21.85 per hour, depending on experience. An offer considers the final candidate’s experience and the current salary level of EAH employees in similar roles. Employment is conditional on satisfactory completion of required criminal background checks and drug testing. EAH also verifies education and employment history; fingerprinting may be required for certain roles.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related janitorial or grounds experience.
Light maintenance experience.
Basic computer skills for training.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum common areas.
Empty common-area trash.
Maintain parking areas.
Sweep and blow landings, and power wash as needed.
Conduct routine property checks to ensure the property is clean and well maintained.
