About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I provides general maintenance support to help ensure a clean, safe, and functional workplace. This entry-level role involves routine inspections, basic repairs, and a range of facility-related tasks. Working under close supervision, the Technician performs hands-on work involving lighting, HVAC filters, minor plumbing, carpentry, and upkeep of shared and exterior areas. The position is an entry point for individuals developing technical maintenance skills while supporting daily facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance and routine inspections on facility systems, including lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filters, and minor structural elements.
• Complete general facility repairs, such as fixing doors, floor tiles, windows, and basic carpentry.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of shared areas, including restrooms, breakrooms, and exterior grounds.
• Monitor and restock building supplies, such as light bulbs, air filters, and cleaning agents.
• Support setup and breakdown for facility events, relocations, and layout changes.
• Respond to general maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Help identify potential hazards or safety violations and report them to leadership.
• Document completed tasks and follow standard operating procedures for facility maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and documentation for audits or compliance reviews.
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Support senior team members or external contractors during more complex work.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support operations.
