About The Position

EAH Housing is hiring a full-time Janitor at Kukui Tower, a 380-unit family affordable housing community in Honolulu, Hawaii. The property is a HUD and Tax Credit community. The Janitor/Groundskeeper maintains the property indoors and outdoors, conducts routine property checks to ensure it is clean and well maintained, and assists the Maintenance Technician with repairs and common-area cleaning as needed. The role requires light maintenance experience and basic computer skills for training. The listed salary range is $18.05–$25.65 per hour; the hiring range for new employees is generally $18.05–$21.85 per hour, depending on experience. Final offers consider the candidate’s experience and the current salary level of employees in similar roles at EAH.

Requirements

At least one year of related janitorial or grounds experience.
Light maintenance experience.
Basic computer skills for training.

Nice To Haves

Janitorial experience in an apartment community setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the property both indoors and outdoors.
Conduct routine property checks to ensure the property is clean and well maintained.
Assist the Maintenance Technician with repairs and common-area cleaning as needed.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum common areas.
Empty common-area trash.
Maintain parking areas.
Sweep and blow all landings, and power wash as needed.
