Janitor (Full Time)
About The Position
ESFM is hiring a full-time Janitor in Augusta, Georgia. The position keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, carpet shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal. Multiple shifts are available; schedule details are provided during the interview. Experience is preferred. The pay range is $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. The Janitor cleans assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitizes surfaces, follows the eight-step cleaning procedure, and performs cleaning in accordance with applicable federal, state, and county guidelines. The role also involves taking initiative to identify areas needing attention, completing supervisor-assigned tasks, contributing professionally to the team, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
- Sanitize all surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
