About The Position

ESFM is hiring a full-time Janitor at Kyowa Kirin in Sanford, North Carolina. The role keeps buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The Janitor uses assigned materials and equipment, follows approved procedures and infection-control plans, and helps maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay range is $20.00 to $20.75 per hour. Must have housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection-control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitize all surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
