Janitor (Full Time)
About The Position
The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties. The position is located at Kraft Heinz in Springfield, Missouri, and is full-time, scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Floor machine knowledge and experience are a plus but are not required; training is available. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, following approved procedures and the eight-step cleaning procedure, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The Janitor also follows applicable federal, state, and county guidelines and completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Floor machine knowledge and experience are a plus but are not required; the employer is willing to train.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash in accordance with approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
- Sanitize all surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and behave professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
