About The Position

ESFM is hiring a full-time Janitor in Pontiac, Michigan. The role keeps buildings clean and orderly and includes heavy cleaning duties such as floor care, carpet shampooing, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Multiple shifts are available; schedule details are provided during the interview. No experience is necessary, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp-mop floors according to approved procedures.
Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Identify areas that need cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
