About The Position

National Star Services, a 26-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking a Full-Time Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of all common areas within a luxury high-rise residential condominium in Chicago, IL 60610. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to perform physical tasks efficiently. The goal is to ensure residents and guests experience a consistently clean, safe, and welcoming environment aligned with high standards of service.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
• Must have previous experience with commercial or industrial cleaning.
• Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking for extended periods).
• Immediate availability is preferred.
• A background check will be conducted prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas like lobbies, hallways, and elevators every day.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and keep floors looking clean.
• Wipe and disinfect high-touch areas like door handles, railings, and buttons.
• Clean restrooms, gyms, lounges, and other shared spaces.
• Take out trash and recycling and move it to the proper area.
• Keep the mailroom and package areas clean and organized.
• Refill cleaning supplies and restroom products when needed.
• Report any issues like broken lights, leaks, or safety problems.
• Keep stairwells and emergency exits clean and clear.
• Use cleaning products safely and follow all safety rules.
