About The Position

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a part-time Janitor to perform general cleaning and preserve assigned areas within a building or across client sites. Because janitorial tasks vary by client, the Janitor must be flexible and perform assigned duties according to client specifications. On-the-job training will be provided. The position pays $60 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of experience in a janitorial-type position.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment according to procedures to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal and use a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot-clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Perform other duties as assigned according to the scope of work or customer needs.
