About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for general housekeeping and upkeep of offices, plant break rooms and restrooms, and other non-manufacturing and non-maintenance areas. The role works under immediate supervision and relies on specific direction and instructions.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and directions.
• Ability to use tools and other equipment as required.
• Ability to pay attention to surroundings.
• Ability to identify safety issues in the work area and notice equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work under immediate supervision.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work the hours mandated by management.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mop floors, vacuum offices, and dust and wipe down desks, counters, and other surfaces in offices and break rooms.
• Clean and scrub toilets in restrooms.
• Clean and scrub refrigerators, microwaves, and the ice machine.
• Ensure restrooms have adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Report problems or issues with equipment in restrooms and break rooms.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties as required.
