About The Position

National Star Services, a 28-year-old nationwide facility management company, is seeking a Janitor for a 9-story apartment building with a three-level parking garage in Northbrook, Illinois. The role involves cleaning and general maintenance of building common areas, collecting trash from floor-level trash closets and the parking garage, and cleaning a dog park. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Pay is $17.00 per hour, paid biweekly.

Requirements

• Provide two valid forms of identification.
• Speak English and Spanish.
• Have commercial and/or residential cleaning experience.
• Be able to start working as soon as possible.
• Have reliable transportation to get to work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and perform general maintenance in the atrium, lobby, leasing office, media room, computer room, golf simulator room, conference room, fitness room, coffee bar, community room, elevators, elevator lobbies, stairwells, restrooms, and two outdoor areas (one with a pool and one with a putting green).
• Collect trash from trash closets on each floor and from the parking garage.
• Clean up the dog park.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
