About The Position

The IT User Acceptance Testing Intern supports testing for Sallie Mae’s Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud implementations. The role is intended for a detail-oriented, motivated student interested in technology, enterprise platforms, and digital transformation. The intern helps validate that Salesforce functionality meets business requirements and contributes to platform stability and user experience. As part of Sallie Mae’s 12-week paid summer internship program, the intern will connect academic learning with practical business work, gain exposure to senior leaders, attend meetings, work alongside mentors, and receive performance feedback. The internship offers hands-on exposure to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud, agile development, enterprise testing, CRM workflows, data models, user interfaces, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA, and business stakeholders. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week from June 7, 2027, through August 28, 2027. Sallie Mae follows a three-day flexible in-office policy at its Newark, Delaware office.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and executing user acceptance testing (UAT) test cases and scripts.
Participate in test planning, defect tracking, and reporting.
Collaborate with business users to validate functionality against requirements.
Document test results and support issue resolution with engineering teams.
Help ensure platform stability and user experience across Salesforce applications.
