About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an IT Tier I Technician to provide technical assistance for the resort and convention center’s IT systems. The technician is part of the IT team and supports systems users across the organization by communicating clearly, troubleshooting thoughtfully, and providing patient, empathetic service to users and teammates. The role includes maintaining software, security, access rights, system records, and working knowledge of relevant software and network applications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Customer-service mindset and ability to support guests and operational teams.
Collaborative approach to working across departments and assisting teammates as needed.
Ability to walk constantly and move frequently throughout a large facility, and to push, pull, carry, and otherwise move heavy objects.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
Two or more years of computer programming experience is helpful.
General knowledge of practices and procedures in a convention center, hotel conference services, waterpark, or theme park environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

Install selected software and maintain appropriate security levels and access rights.
Support quality systems operations across the company by communicating with users at all levels and providing direction and assistance as needed.
Facilitate information flow within the IT Department by attending scheduled department meetings and participating in daily stand-up meetings.
Maintain a high level of service and satisfaction for systems users.
Inventory systems on the property and keep records accurate and up to date.
Maintain working knowledge of appropriate software and network applications.
Support users and teammates with patience, empathy, accountability, clear communication, and thoughtful problem-solving.
