About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an IT Tier I Technician to provide technical assistance for the Resort and Convention Center’s IT systems. The technician supports system users across the property, helping ensure reliable operations and a high level of service and satisfaction. The role calls for patient, empathetic, and accountable support, with clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and collaboration with users and teammates.

The position is based at one of the listed Kalahari locations: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; or Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to constantly walk and move frequently throughout a large facility, and to push, pull, carry, or otherwise move heavy objects.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-service mindset and ability to support guests and operational teams.
• Collaborative approach to working across departments and assisting teammates as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
• Two or more years of computer programming experience is helpful.
• General knowledge of practices and procedures in a convention center, hotel conference services, waterpark, or theme park environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install selected software and maintain appropriate security levels and access rights.
• Support quality systems operations across company areas by communicating with system users and offering direction and assistance as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled IT department meetings and participate in daily stand-up meetings to facilitate information flow.
• Help achieve and maintain a maximum level of service and satisfaction for system users.
• Conduct an inventory of systems on the property and maintain accurate records by updating information as needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of appropriate software and network applications.
