About The Position

The IT Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the technological infrastructure of an organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer hardware, software, and network systems to support business functions effectively. The IT Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance. They will also assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software applications across various platforms, including Windows and macOS. Ultimately, this role ensures that end-users have reliable access to technology resources, enabling productivity and operational continuity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role in computer hardware and software support.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and macOS.
  • Experience with network administration, including wireless networking and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair computer hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and macOS allows the technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications across diverse user environments.
  • Network administration and wireless networking skills are essential for maintaining connectivity and resolving network-related issues swiftly.
  • Computer repair and troubleshooting expertise enable the technician to identify root causes of technical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Software installation and ongoing maintenance ensure that users have access to the latest tools and updates necessary for their work.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
  • Experience with enterprise-level network environments and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud services.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform routine network administration tasks, including managing wireless networks and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly to minimize disruption.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on various systems and applications.
  • Document technical procedures, system configurations, and incident resolutions to maintain accurate records.
