About The Position

The Systems Intern accurately troubleshoots hardware and software issues and provides detailed technical assistance to end users for PC and peripheral systems. The position also performs tasks associated with servers, networks, and other equipment as directed.

This on-site internship is located in Manhattan, Kansas, near Kansas State University. It is open immediately as of January 19. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled in courses or receiving training in Information and Network Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• In training for or planning to complete certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.

Responsibilities

• Provides help desk assistance to end users, including PC, peripheral, phone, and software support.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and reloads or images new and used systems for deployment.
• Applies necessary hardware and software updates as directed.
• Assists in maintaining system and network security as it applies to new, current, and terminated employees.
• Maintains an inventory of owned software licenses and hardware and ensures zero-tolerance software license compliance.
