About The Position
This role involves supporting and maintaining end-user computers, administering Windows Server environments and Microsoft Azure services, managing users and security through Active Directory and Microsoft 365, maintaining networking infrastructure, administering a VoIP phone system, owning backup and disaster recovery processes, coordinating with third-party IT providers, supporting data and reporting needs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently in an on-site role.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience
- Strong Windows administration skills across both desktop and Windows Server
- Experience managing users in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
- Solid networking fundamentals — LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switching, and firewalls
- Experience supporting a VoIP phone system (3CX a plus)
- Scripting and automation with PowerShell
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and own problems end-to-end in an on-site role
- Comfort collaborating with an external IT provider
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to data and reporting tools (SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric)
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or operations environments
- Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) and backup tools (e.g., Veeam)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain end-user computers (Windows desktops and laptops) — setup, imaging, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
- Administer Windows Server environments and Microsoft Azure services
- Manage users, access, and security through Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Maintain networking across headquarters and farm sites — LAN/WAN, wireless, switching, and firewalls
- Administer and support the 3CX phone system and related communications
- Own backup, disaster recovery, patching, and endpoint security
- Coordinate with our third-party IT provider and vendors on projects and escalations
- Support data and reporting needs (e.g., SQL, Power BI type tools) as they arise
- Lead and partner with others on the Team on continuous improvement initiatives
- Document systems, processes, and procedures
