About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the organization's Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and server environments. This role provides advanced technical support, administers user accounts and security policies, manages system updates and automation initiatives, and ensures reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations across on-premises and cloud-hosted environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent field experience
  • IT Professional Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA Server+)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure administration
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, macOS).
  • Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience with server setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automating tasks.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Azure).
  • Ability to implement backup strategies and perform system recovery.
  • Awareness of security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues.
  • Understanding of Active Directory user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, RAID configurations, and disk management.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Kaseya VSA).
  • Awareness of IT service management principles.
  • Ability to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining system documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and team members.
  • Ability to provide effective support and maintaining a positive user experience.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Analyzing logs for troubleshooting and identifying performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated IT support issues
  • Create and Manage User accounts
  • Create and Manage Active Directory Group Policies
  • Create and Manage Azure/Intune and Configuration Profiles
  • Manage patching of software and OS update processes
  • Create and Manage processes that optimize IT Operations such as deployment, onboarding/offboarding/decommissioning/automation
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Support Physical and Virtual Servers, including cloud hosted servers and applications
  • Ability to deploy solutions via Scripting/PowerShell/PowerApps
  • Manage, design and implement hardware as needed for new projects.
  • Accept special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Support related vulnerability resolution as identified/requested by Information Security
  • Ensure all IT Change Management Policies/Procedures are followed.
  • Must understand and comply with all regulations and ITIL best practice compliance.
