About The Position
This is a non-merit, temporary position at the Iowa Veterans Home. The hourly wage is $20.00/hour. The Iowa Veterans Home is one of the largest employers in central Iowa with over 800 employees who provide specialized long-term nursing and residential care to nearly 400 veterans and their spouses. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in Information Technology by assisting residents with desktop support, hardware deployment, software support, data collection, and other IT-related duties. Applicants must be available 10-15 hours per week with core hours established by their supervisor. All applicants are subject to a Criminal Background Check, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Child Abuse Check. The State of Iowa participates in E-Verify and complies with federal Right to Work laws.
