About The Position

Vance Thompson Vision is seeking an IT Support Technician to support its growing organization. The role administers and maintains ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical devices, provides technical support to employees, supports Zoom Room and Zoom phone systems, and administers critical business applications. It also includes managing IT projects, maintaining documentation and asset inventories, using remote monitoring and management tools, automating IT tasks with scripts, and evaluating AI-powered tools and other emerging technologies. The technician is expected to demonstrate the organization’s values in interactions with patients and team members and to be detail-oriented, communicative, motivated, analytical, and effective at problem-solving.

Requirements

• Associate degree in information technology or an equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical devices to support operational performance and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on, phone, and remote technical support to employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Design, build, and maintain Zoom Room systems and administer the organization’s Zoom-based phone system.
• Provide administration and support for critical Line of Business applications.
• Manage and complete IT projects across the organization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and train team members on software applications.
• Use remote monitoring and management tools for proactive monitoring, patch management, remote access, and automated endpoint maintenance.
• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory, including hardware and software licenses across Vance Thompson Vision locations.
• Develop and implement scripts, such as PowerShell or Python, to automate repetitive IT tasks and improve operations and user experience.
• Evaluate, recommend, and integrate AI-powered tools to optimize business processes and service delivery.
• Provide input and recommendations on implementing new technologies.
