About The Position

Luxury Presence is seeking an Onsite IT Support Specialist for their Austin office. This role is the primary point of contact for IT needs within the office, responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations. The specialist will handle a variety of tasks including helpdesk support, workstation setup and maintenance, inventory management, and AV support. This is a hands-on, in-person position reporting to the Director of IT, working alongside an IT Engineer to support over 150 team members, including executives. The role involves learning and eventually owning office operations, including opening and closing procedures. The company utilizes a tech stack including Ubiquiti/UniFi for networking and physical access, Kandji for device management, and everyday tools like Google Workspace, Slack, 1Password, Notion, and Anthropic Claude.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in a help desk or IT support role, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and basic networking issues.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and follow through on tasks until completion.
  • Ability to treat all individuals with patience and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on inventory accuracy and documentation.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to explain technical problems to non-technical individuals clearly and without condescension.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline IT support for the Austin office, managing the helpdesk queue and walk-up requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and basic network connectivity issues for end users.
  • Provision, deprovision, and maintain workstations for employees in the Austin office.
  • Procure IT equipment as needed and ensure new hires have fully set up machines.
  • Build and maintain an accurate inventory of all computers and IT equipment in the Austin office.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment throughout the office, including open office areas and conference rooms.
  • Ensure conference room AV systems are meeting-ready and respond to issues during meetings.
  • Learn and eventually manage daily office operations, including opening and closing procedures.
