About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. Under general direction, manages the IT procurement and inventory management function within the IT department. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization’s hardware and software. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quantity throughout the product lifecycle. Monitors effectively both on a daily basis and long-term IT asset portfolio (software and technology related hardware with regard to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives and IT Governance as established by the organization. Maintains and issue Vocera devises, cellphones and Pagers. Remains up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and complements UAMS’s mission/goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 3 years IT experience providing end user support or IT related experience
  • Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field with 1 year IT experience providing end user support or IT related experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field with 3 years IT experience providing end user support or IT related experience
  • Master Degree in Information Technology or related field with 1 years IT experience providing end user support or IT related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field of study
  • Customer Service experience

Responsibilities
