About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, and maintaining our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business applications.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols, such as firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor network systems, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels and security protocols are in place.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improvements to current systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve IT-related issues and implement new solutions.
  • Train and support staff on the use of new software and technology systems.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT activities, including system upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
