About The Position

Ossium is seeking a detail-oriented IT Support & Data Specialist to join their Technology team. This role involves maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and inventory databases, providing help-desk support, and assisting with technology governance, security policies, access controls, and compliance efforts. The position reports to the Associate Director, Technology.

Requirements

  • High proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets
  • Natural comfort navigating database environments
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows, PC hardware, and common business software (e.g., Microsoft 365)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle repetitive, high-volume tasks without losing focus or quality
  • Ability to work across departments to track down missing information or explain technical fixes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Ticketing Systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Basic understanding of inventory management or accounting principles and related software
  • Exposure to IT security best practices, user access management, or technology compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of defense for technical issues, including workstation setup, software deployment, hardware troubleshooting, and managing company assets.
  • Manage data integrity within quality-related platforms, including a tagged field database, data migrations, and system audits for inconsistencies.
  • Support the organization’s QMS by ensuring digital record templates meet traceability and accuracy standards.
  • Assist with reviewing user access, auditing technology processes, coordinating Technology policies, and ensuring systems align with security standards and best practices.
  • Perform large-scale data cleanup and alignment for accuracy across inventory and quality systems.
  • Review incoming help desk tickets, resolve Tier 1 technical issues, and escalate complex cases.
  • Assist in staging, configuration, and deployment of new computers and mobile devices.
  • Follow and help refine protocols for data entry and IT workflows.
  • Assist in coordinating, maintaining, and auditing Technology policies.
  • Review system access logs, validate user permissions, support periodic access reviews, document compliance activities, and help implement IT best practices.
