Summer '27 Intern - IT Support Analyst
About The Position
The IT Intern will work closely with Welltower’s IT Infrastructure and Help Desk teams in a hands-on capacity. The role requires a basic understanding of personal computers, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques, and provides exposure to automation, data, and reporting initiatives. The intern will provide technical assistance to employees, resolve or escalate hardware and software issues, manage support tickets, assist with equipment installation and configuration, and contribute to process improvement, automation, and reporting work. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. The internship is described as lasting ten weeks.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- Basic understanding of personal computers, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Ability to learn independently and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship experience in IT, Helpdesk, or a related field.
- Experience with HP desktops and laptops, Microsoft Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office (2013, 2016, O365), printers, multi-function devices, internet browsers, and Apple iOS.
- Experience with MySQL and SQL Server.
- Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-response technical assistance to Welltower employees.
- Diagnose, research, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams.
- Use Help Desk software to track, manage, and resolve tickets.
- Assist with installation and configuration of computers, monitors, printers, phones, and peripherals.
- Support IT staff in process improvement initiatives.
- Help build innovative solutions as part of Welltower’s automation strategy.
- Assist in developing reporting and analysis capabilities for less mature data sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
