About The Position

The Information Technology Specialist works as a member of the site Business Department. Primarily responsible for supporting the stable operation of the in-house computer network interfacing and in conjunction with the Corporate IT Department. The Information Technology Specialist reports to the Site Program Director, Principal and/or IT Manager. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • 3-5 years of networking experience
  • Knowledge of a range of computer networking systems and languages to include Cisco, Active Directory or similar computer networks, computer network hardware and peripheral equipment, federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software, computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and provide technical training to non-technical personnel and/or end users.
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.
  • Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver.
  • Must possess a 1 year of prior experience working in residential/school setting with at-risk student, their families and an unaccompanied minor program.
  • Must pass criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree
