About The Position

WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense, Other Government Agencies, and Commercial Partners. The IT Specialist will work under the direction of WinTec Arrowmaker’s Chief of Enterprise Information Systems to support the organization’s information technology operations. Anticipate travel 25%.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 or newer.
  • General understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including IP addressing, connectivity, and cabling.
  • Interest in developing troubleshooting skills and applying structured problem-solving methods.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and procedures in a hands-on environment.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Work with WinTec’s IT team members to learn, support, and perform a variety of IT functions, including computer operations, user support, desktop support, network administration, and data management.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to employees, customers, and external users.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and support of hardware, software, and network components at office locations and experimentation venues.
  • Support experimentation venue clients by helping establish and maintain IT equipment, communications systems, and network connectivity.
  • Assist with the integration, configuration, and testing of technologies used in prototype systems and project/product demonstrations.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, configurations, and support activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
