Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree in IT or a related field, 2+ years of IT experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware required.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCIP protocols and addressing, network topology, wireless networks).
  • Must have working knowledge of O365, Windows 10/11, Azure, IOS, Android OS, and be proficient in Microsoft Teams.
  • Obtain Azure certification(s) within 12 months of employment with One GI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer service orientation.
  • Exhibit a can-do attitude, strong interpersonal / relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees effectively.
  • Must be onsite at one of our locations during business hours.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and help desk phone days.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required.
  • Will travel within the Virginia market, including: Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Manassas, Warrenton, Lansdowne.

  • IT certifications preferred (A+, Azure, Microsoft, Network+, Security+)

Responsibilities

  • Be a knowledgeable resource for staff and physicians to address software and hardware issues with a sense of purpose and urgency.
  • Act as an IT shared services resource to maximize IT staff utilization and to create enterprise / departmental efficiencies.
  • Work within the One GI Information Technology ticketing system to address user service requests and incidents at all locations, functioning as part of a highly motivated and collaborative team.
  • Perform installation and conduct troubleshooting procedures with hardware, software, network, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Work with remote IT vendors to identify and resolve problems when required.
  • Hold administrative rights to multiple systems, adhering to corporate security policies.
  • Initiate and terminate user access at manager request.
  • Act as liaison to request or terminate access to third-party systems such as hospital EMR’s.
  • Participate in setup and implementation of new systems, upgrades, or modifications including evaluation and testing.
  • Act as a resource for others in determining system configurations or modifications to meet internal needs or external requirements.
  • Assist with training materials, procedures, and user training as required.
  • Submit hardware and software documented resolutions for the IT knowledge base.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and help desk phone days.
