About The Position

The IT Specialist/Admin role is responsible for managing and securing Picogrid's internal corporate IT systems, including endpoints, identity, and network resources, while ensuring compliance with CMMC Level 2. The role provides day-to-day technical support for employees and works closely with the Security and Compliance team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, or enterprise technical support.
  • Experience managing corporate endpoints, user accounts, and internal IT infrastructure in a business environment.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint administration, identity and access management, and system configuration management.
  • Experience supporting corporate productivity platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar collaboration environments.
  • Understanding of IT security practices including endpoint protection, patch management, and access control.
  • Basic understanding of security compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or similar enterprise security standards.
  • Experience with endpoint management and device administration tools such as MDM or device management platforms.
  • Experience administering identity systems such as Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, or similar authentication platforms.
  • Experience with patch management processes and endpoint security tools.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools or endpoint security monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on supporting end users.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with employees across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to document IT processes and maintain system configuration records.
  • Ability to pass a background check and work with U.S. government customers.
  • Ability to meet U.S. export control requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience supporting IT environments that must comply with CMMC Level 2 or NIST SP 800-171.
  • Experience working in startups or rapidly growing technology companies.
  • Experience supporting organizations that work with federal government or defense customers.
  • Experience managing mobile device management (MDM) or endpoint security platforms.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management or security monitoring programs.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar IT administration certifications.
  • Experience supporting Linux and macOS environments in enterprise settings.
  • Experience automating IT administration tasks using scripting tools or automation platforms.
  • Experience managing secure device configurations and system hardening practices.

Responsibilities
