IT SAP Lead, MM/PP
About The Position
The IT Lead SAP – MM/PP is responsible for supporting SAP supply chain and production application systems. The role identifies business process improvements and supports implementation, training, and documentation. It works with business users, technical resources, and cross-functional teams to improve SAP utilization and support day-to-day business operations and projects, including integrating new plants into the PLZ SAP template. The role also supports project requirements and solution design, data analysis, post-go-live activities, and communication of issues and proposed resolutions to IT and senior management. Travel to PLZ locations may be required, up to 20%.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of overall business analyst experience in SAP MM/PP in an SAP ECC environment.
- Experience with MM/PP master data, material master, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, stock transfer orders, inventory management, physical inventory, valuation and account assignment, and invoice verification.
- Experience with Make to Stock and Make to Order in PP, production planning, and shop floor control in PP.
- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM/PP and other SAP modules, including SD, QM, WM, and FICO.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and explain technical processes and concepts to non-technical user groups.
- Initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to identify and understand business problems and offer viable solutions.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Good documentation skills.

Responsibilities
- Support SAP Supply Chain and Production modules for day-to-day business activities and assist with implementing new projects.
- Support Supply Chain and Production when integrating new plants into the PLZ SAP template.
- Work with other resources to standardize business processes and improve SAP utilization.
- Identify business process improvements and work with business users and technical resources to implement them.
- Translate requirements and functional specifications into technical solutions, including specifications, tested code, and technical documentation.
- Participate in project blueprint workshops, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and preparation of solution alternatives.
- Assist business users with data analytics, identify operational anomalies, and report findings in a timely manner.
- Support the business during post-go-live stages of projects.
- Document business processes and train users on proper system usage.
- Advise IT and senior management of issues and propose ways to address them.
- Travel to PLZ locations as required, up to 20%.
- Create documentation for blueprinting, configuration, test cases, defect resolution, and training materials.
