About The Position

The IT Lead SAP – MM/PP is responsible for supporting SAP supply chain and production application systems. The role identifies and implements business-process improvements, supports implementation projects, provides training, and maintains documentation. It calls for strong analytical skills, attention to detail, in-depth SAP knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position may require travel to PLZ locations up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall business analyst experience in SAP MM/PP in an SAP ECC environment.
• Experience and understanding of MM/PP master data and end-to-end processes, including material master, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, stock transfer orders, inventory management, physical inventory, valuation and account assignment, and invoice verification.
• Experience with Make to Stock and Make to Order in PP.
• Experience with production planning and shop-floor control in PP.
• Understanding of integration points between SAP MM/PP and other SAP modules, including SD, QM, WM, and FICO.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and explain technical processes and concepts to non-technical user groups.
• Initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to identify business problems and offer viable solutions.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Good documentation skills and ability to create blueprinting, configuration, test case, defect-resolution, and training documents.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day business activities in Supply Chain and Production modules and help implement new projects.
• Support Supply Chain and Production as new plants are integrated into the PLZ SAP template.
• Work with other resources to standardize business processes and improve SAP utilization.
• Identify business-process improvements and work with business users and technical resources to implement them.
• Translate requirements and functional specifications into technical solutions, including specifications, tested code, and technical documentation.
• Participate in project blueprint workshops, supporting requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and preparation of solution alternatives.
• Assist business users with data analytics, identify operational anomalies, and report findings in a timely manner.
• Support the business during post-go-live project stages.
• Document business processes and train users in proper system use.
• Advise IT and senior management of issues and propose ways to address them.
• Travel to PLZ locations as required, up to 20%.
