About The Position

Owens & Minor is seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM/PM Functional Consultant to manage functional activities across projects, enhancements, and production support. The role focuses on Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Plant Maintenance (PM) in complex, highly customized SAP environments, particularly in the Medical Devices, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical industries. The successful candidate will analyze business needs, develop SAP solutions aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices, and work independently while offering multiple solution approaches.

The position supports the end-to-end project lifecycle, from solution design and configuration through testing, deployment, and hypercare. It also includes production ticket resolution and root-cause analysis, collaboration with technical teams on custom developments, coordination with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and support for audits, compliance, training, and continuous improvement. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of SAP PP/QM/PM functional experience.
• Experience in the Medical Devices, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in complex and highly customized SAP environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP PP, QM, and PM modules.
• Experience in end-to-end project implementation and production support.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

• SAP S/4HANA and ECC experience.
• Experience in regulated environments, including FDA, GMP, or ISO standards.
• Exposure to integration with MM, EWM/WM, SD, and MES systems.
• SAP PP/QM/PM certification.
• Training or exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Industry-specific training in regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage SAP PP, QM, and PM functional activities across projects, enhancements, and support.
• Analyze business requirements and design effective SAP solutions.
• Handle production support tickets, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Provide multiple solution options and recommend a best-fit approach based on business needs and SAP standards.
• Configure and support SAP PP, QM, and PM processes in complex and customized environments.
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for custom developments.
• Support end-to-end project lifecycle activities, including testing, deployment, and hypercare support.
• Ensure smooth integration with cross-functional teams and systems.
• Work with business stakeholders to align SAP solutions with operational needs.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with user training and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in system audits and support compliance with industry regulations.
• Contribute to solution design discussions and workshops.
• Support integration with other SAP modules and external systems as required.
