About The Position

The IT & Salesforce Systems Administrator owns Cardiff employees’ technology experience and supports the security, accuracy, and usability of the Salesforce environment. IT operations are the primary focus, including preparing devices, managing accounts and access, and supporting the tools employees use. The role also handles day-to-day Salesforce administration, including user and permission management, data quality, reports, and simple automation, in coordination with the senior Salesforce Administrator, Engineering, and teams across Sales, RevOps, Underwriting, Marketing, and People. This is an administrator role rather than a developer role, intended for someone early in their career who enjoys owning requests and solving problems in a fast-moving, regulated environment. The administrator provisions laptops and equipment, manages employee accounts and SaaS access, supports onboarding and offboarding, maintains asset records, troubleshoots IT issues, and owns incoming IT and Salesforce requests. Salesforce duties include managing users and security settings, configuring the platform, maintaining reports and dashboards, creating simple Flows with senior review, resolving support tickets, and escalating complex issues. The role also supports data quality, sandbox testing, UAT and regression testing, change documentation, and documentation of IT procedures, access decisions, Salesforce configuration, business processes, fixes, and integrations. The role emphasizes maintainable systems and appropriate use of automation. The administrator is encouraged to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to speed up routine work, including documentation, troubleshooting, request summaries, data cleanup, queries, test plans, and repetitive tasks. Success over the first 90 days includes learning Cardiff’s IT procedures and Salesforce processes, taking ownership of employee onboarding and offboarding, user and permission requests, completing an access review and data cleanup, handling most Tier 1 support, improving reports or dashboards, building simple Flows with senior review, and keeping documentation current.
