About The Position

The Division of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an ITP 2 - UAT Test Automation Specialist in Carson City or Las Vegas. In this role, you will be responsible for executing regression automation UAT test cases, re-testing and closing regression defects, and building jobs with required UAT Environment parameters for each in Jenkins. You will be responsible for verifying logs and reports status and creating proper status reporting on UAT testing projects. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing file mock-ups using a record editor tool for Interface and date advancement in UAT testing. You will also be responsible for creating technical test scenarios and test cases to be utilized as part of the test plan development for projects. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting technical issues, working with critical production systems, and performing independent research to resolve technical issues. Good customer service skills are required, as well as the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel clearly and effectively. Coding skills preferred. The candidate will need to possess superior documentation skills and the ability to function as a member in a collaborative team environment. Duties include designing and developing software modifications and new software applications as well as working with other team members on projects. Flexible and variable work schedules may be considered. Remote work is not available at this time. Details can be discussed in the interview. Work life balance is valued by the division. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security
  • Two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service
  • Four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
