About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to support the daily operations and administration of our IT infrastructure. This role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security across core systems and services. You’ll work closely with the Systems Administrator and IT Director to provide technical support to end-users, manage cloud and on-premise systems, enforce security policies, and support automation and compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations or systems support.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows/macOS environments.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of network administration, monitoring and management
  • Customer-service orientation and problem ownership.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, Drata).
  • Proficiency with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf Pro, ConnectWise).
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security concepts and MFA.
  • Experience with identity/access management and network diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Tier 1–2 technical support for internal users via a help desk system.
  • Perform onboarding/offboarding procedures, including account setup, device configuration, and software provisioning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and IT knowledge base resources.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune).
  • Maintain and monitor endpoint management platforms (Intune, Jamf Pro for macOS, ConnectWise RMM for Windows).
  • Network administration, monitoring and management
  • Ensure system uptime and performance through regular health checks and monitoring tools.
  • Assist with IT asset management and inventory.
  • Develop and refine automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to improve IT operations and reduce manual workloads.
  • Support configuration management and deployment pipelines.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint protection tools (e.g., FileVault, BitLocker, patching policies).
  • Monitor for security threats and support incident response protocols.
  • Assist with compliance-related initiatives (e.g., MFA, least privilege access, vulnerability reporting).
  • Assist with planning and execution of IT projects (migrations, upgrades, system rollouts).
  • Perform regular maintenance and participate in system lifecycle management.
  • Recommend tools and strategies for improving system efficiency and user experience.
