About The Position

Courier Health is seeking an IT Operations Manager to build and run IT end-to-end for the company. This is the first dedicated IT hire, responsible for setting the roadmap and establishing the IT function from scratch. The role involves managing systems, devices, security, compliance, and the office environment. The ideal candidate will have a clean slate, agency to design the function, and significant cross-company impact at a high-growth health tech company.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in IT operations at a startup or high-growth tech company.
  • Experience as the primary owner of IT, where the whole company relied on you.
  • Hands-on depth with identity management (Okta or equivalent SSO/SCIM/MFA).
  • Hands-on depth with MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune).
  • Hands-on depth with corporate SaaS administration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom).
  • Track record of owning onboarding/offboarding end-to-end.
  • Track record of owning device lifecycle end-to-end.
  • Track record of owning endpoint security end-to-end.
  • Experience supporting compliance in a regulated environment (SOC 2 and/or HIPAA), including access reviews, audit evidence, and working directly with auditors and security teams.
  • Experience with vendor management and budget ownership.
  • A bias for automation (Python, n8n, APIs, or equivalent).
  • A service-first instinct.
  • Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity.
  • Maturity to set priorities for a function no one has run before.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the full SaaS portfolio including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Notion.
  • Manage identity through Okta or equivalent, including SSO, MFA, role-based access, and automated workflows.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end across HRIS, identity, and all applications.
  • Run Mobile Device Management (MDM) across a primarily Mac fleet (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune).
  • Manage the full hardware lifecycle, from procurement and provisioning to asset tracking and retrieval.
  • Ensure office IT reliability, including network, Wi-Fi, conference-room AV, and printers.
  • Oversee the IT aspects of an upcoming office move.
  • Provide IT support, clearing the ticket queue against SLAs and offering white-glove assistance.
  • Own endpoint protection, patching, and device compliance.
  • Manage the IT side of SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance, including access reviews, audit evidence, vendor security reviews, and customer security questionnaires.
  • Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and negotiations.
  • Own the IT budget.
  • Automate IT processes using scripting, APIs, and AI tooling.
  • Set the IT roadmap, capacity, and priorities.
  • Write runbooks to ensure IT repeatability as the company scales.
