About The Position

The IT-Network Specialist provides hands-on information technology and network support throughout Huntington Place. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining the facility’s network infrastructure, supporting technology systems, and ensuring reliable connectivity for internal operations, clients, vendors, and events. The IT-Network Specialist serves as a technical resource for network architecture, system performance, disaster recovery planning, and user support. This position also provides operational support in the absence of the IT Manager and must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, event-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology and network administration.
  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of networking technologies, servers, personal computers, wireless systems, and voice/data communications.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and infrastructure support.
  • Familiarity with web hosting, telecommunications systems, and network security principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network requirements and contribute to the design, integration, and implementation of network architecture.
  • Maintain network hardware and software including servers, network devices, peripherals, terminals, and cabling infrastructure.
  • Monitor network stability, utilization, and performance to ensure reliable operations.
  • Install, configure, test, and support software and hardware upgrades.
  • Monitor systems performance and initiate recovery actions following outages or system failures.
  • Manage backup, storage, retrieval, and computer operation scheduling functions.
  • Coordinate third-party maintenance and support for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Train users on network administration, office productivity applications, and technology best practices.
  • Respond to technology requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with departments to understand and support operational technology needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Work with consultants to ensure technology platforms support business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Evaluate network hardware and software capabilities and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Route, install, terminate, and test network cabling throughout the facility.
  • Support voice, data, wireless, and telecommunications systems.
  • Assist with technology infrastructure deployments for events and facility operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
