About The Position

Housing Visions is a Syracuse based nonprofit committed to Quality, Responsibility, Integrity and Compassion. Our IT team plays a vital role in supporting staff who work every day to strengthen communities. As an intern, you will be part of a team that values growth and contributions. You will be based out of our corporate office located at 1201 E. Fayette St. Work schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm. The pay range is $17-$20 DOE.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of IT support and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with maintaining computer hardware and peripherals.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and software applications.
• Experience with user account management and permissions.
• Ability to assist with hardware and software installations.
• Skills in IT inventory management.
• Familiarity with VOIP phone systems, door access, and security systems.
• Ability to develop training materials.
• Awareness of emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff across all offices.
• Help maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and A/V equipment.
• Assist with monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of network infrastructure and software applications.
• Create new user accounts and configure required permissions and access rights.
• Assist with hardware and software installations and office equipment setups.
• Help maintain the organization’s IT inventory records.
• Support the VOIP phone system, door access, and building security systems.
• Develop and deliver basic computer training materials and reference guides for staff.
• Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the organization’s IT needs.
