About The Position

Beaver Aerospace & Defense is seeking an IT Support Intern to assist its IT lead with day-to-day employee technology needs. This learning-focused role provides practical experience supporting Windows and Dell laptops, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and approved access requests in an ITAR-regulated, AS9100-certified manufacturing environment. With structured training and supervision, the intern will develop Tier 1 troubleshooting skills, resolve routine support requests within approved access limits, and create documentation that improves service consistency. Responsibilities expand as training is completed and competency is demonstrated. The anticipated program length is 12 weeks. The internship is paid at $19–$22 per hour, based on relevant skills and experience, and includes hands-on training and mentorship from the IT lead, a structured development program, and a meaningful documentation or process-improvement project to complete and present. Benefit availability depends on internship classification, scheduled hours, and applicable plan eligibility requirements. The intern must complete required company security screening, export-control review, confidentiality agreements, acceptable-use training, and cybersecurity orientation before receiving system access. The role follows company policies and applicable government, customer, and export-control requirements, including ITAR-related requirements. Work must remain within assigned and approved access; privileged credentials, BitLocker recovery keys, and administrative changes require designated approval. Suspected phishing, unauthorized access, security incidents, or exposure of sensitive information must be reported promptly. Requests involving controlled technical data, restricted program or customer information, or unfamiliar privileged tasks must be stopped and escalated. Beaver Aerospace & Defense is located in Livonia, Michigan, and is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for the design, development, manufacturing, and assembly of aerospace components. The work environment is described as diverse and team-oriented, with an emphasis on skills development. Candidates must meet security screening requirements under ITAR directives.
