About The Position

This position will be within a certain area of the IT team from Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Infrastructure, or Business Analytics. As a broader part of the IT department, this position will have the ability to gain exposure to other functions and high impact projects. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.

Requirements

Actively pursuing Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics or related field

Responsibilities

Assist in Software Development
Write, test, and debug code for internal tools or applications.
Collaborate with engineers on feature development and bug fixes.
Participate in Agile/Scrum Meetings
Join sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to understand the software development lifecycle.
Code Review & Documentation
Review pull requests and provide feedback under guidance.
Maintain clean, commented, and documented code for assigned tasks.
Gather and Analyze Business Requirements
Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Dashboard & Report Creation
Build and update dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to support business decision-making.
Process Improvement Support
Analyze workflows and identify inefficiencies or opportunities for automation.
Competitor & Market Research
Perform benchmarking studies and present findings related to product performance or business strategy.
Data Visualization
Create visual representations of data trends and insights using tools like Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), R, or visualization platforms.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with software developers, analysts, and project managers across departments.
Ad Hoc Projects
Support one-off technical or analytical projects as needed by the IT or data teams.
Learning & Development
Participate in training sessions, tech talks, or mentorship programs to enhance technical and soft skills.
