About The Position

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician in our Victoria, TX office. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-oriented professional with some hands-on IT support experience who can work independently and take ownership of their role as part of a dynamic, collaborative IT team! This is not a remote role.

Requirements

1+ year of hands-on experience in a help desk, IT support, or similar technical role
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership — able to identify what needs to be done and follow through without being prompted
Customer service attitude
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with laptops, workstations, cell phones, printing systems, and hardware troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365
Ability to work well in a highly collaborative, team setting
Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities while supporting/communicating with IT teammates
Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree and/or 2+ years of experience in computer systems or corporate IT support
Experience with LAN/WAN support
Knowledge of VPN and other remote access systems
Experience with large-scale plotting systems
Experience with Microsoft Server 2016, 2019 and 2022
Experience with Hyper-V software and/or VM software

Responsibilities

Providing technical assistance and support to end users by responding to help desk tickets, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems and implementing solutions
Helping configure, build, upgrade, and deploy machines
Providing support to remote ESP offices
Prioritizing and managing daily tasks independently, with minimal day-to-day direction
