DOB’s IT Operations Help Desk is the primary intake for all IT requests, notification of systems issues, and general inquiries. As new systems are developed or business units are added to existing systems, the number of requests increase weekly. The Help Desk receives several hundred requests a week, including password resets, Outlook issues, and general outages. The year-round intern (College Aide) will assist with PC configuration and set up as well as work on PC related issues. Additional duties include assessing and responding to individual issues submitted to IT (ticketing), software resolution, and hardware resolution.
