About The Position

The IT Engineer - Desktop is responsible for ensuring desktop and laptop systems at Cache Creek Casino Resort meet the security, configuration, and operational standards for staff to conduct business functions. This position must also provide first-level support to executive staff as the primary point of contact.

Requirements

  • One year related experience and/or training; Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, mathematical or schedule form.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides support of all builds, updates, and maintenance activities for all company desktops and laptops.
  • Provides second-level support for the IT Help Desk.
  • Provides executive support for desktop/laptop and general Help Desk related requests.
  • Participates and applies automated patching processes.
  • Contributes to and operates PC build automation processes and tooling.
  • Performs asset management documentation functions.
  • Facilitates system imaging, hardening, and provisioning.
  • Delivers imaged units to designated individuals.
  • Sets up imaged units, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Ensures operation of newly installed units and provides basic end-user training, as needed.
  • Installs and configures additional software as needed and ensures adequate licensing.
  • Restores user data to new or upgraded computer system.
  • Wipes out old systems and returns to service or properly secures disposal though documented process.
  • Escalates any problems or situation needing attention from next level staff or engineers.
