About the position
Lambda is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their team in San Jose as an IT Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing computers, managing cloud-based applications, onboarding and offboarding users, maintaining network and server infrastructure, and developing IT policies and procedures. They should have extensive experience with Jamf, as well as proficiency in scripting languages and familiarity with network protocols. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Lambda's GPU cloud and help build their IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Mac and PC computers using Jamf and other RMM tools
- Manage cloud-based applications, services, permissions, and accounts
- Onboard and offboard users
- Work on various IT security projects, both independently and in a team
- Maintain network and server infrastructure
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Assist users with general helpdesk inquiries
- Research and recommend new technologies
- Help build the IT infrastructure from scratch
- Have extensive experience deploying, configuring, and managing client computers with Jamf
- Support users in a remote-first environment
- Manage IT projects from start to finish
- Manage multiple cloud-based applications
- Google Workspace management experience
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with network protocols and tools like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.
- Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Nice to have: Okta admin experience
- Nice to have: RMM solutions for PC computers
- Nice to have: Ubuntu Linux experience
- Nice to have: Experience with Meraki firewall, switch, and wireless access points
- Nice to have: Familiarity with the CIS Framework
