About The Position

The IT Data Architect defines and governs Capital Health’s enterprise data architecture to support clinical care, operational excellence, analytics, internally developed products, workflow automation, and responsible artificial intelligence. The role establishes long-term information architecture, domain models, integration principles, cloud data platform direction, governance patterns, and technical standards so enterprise data is trusted, secure, interoperable, reusable, and AI-ready. Working across Product Engineering, AI Engineering, Software Development, Data Engineering, Analytics, Clinical and Business Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, and operational leadership, the architect translates enterprise strategy and healthcare information needs into reference architectures, roadmaps, decision frameworks, and solution guidance. The role promotes reusable capabilities instead of isolated data assets. It is an enterprise architecture and technical leadership position: it defines how information should be structured, integrated, governed, protected, and made available, and guides Data Engineers and solution teams in implementing those standards. It does not primarily build every pipeline, own business reporting, or manage product adoption. The position is full-time, with 40 scheduled weekly hours and an eight-hour usual workday. Flexibility may be needed for stakeholder sessions, releases, implementations, production issues, and scheduled maintenance. It reports to the Director, Product Engineering and AI; Director, Enterprise Applications and Data; or Enterprise Architecture Leader. It does not formally supervise employees, but provides enterprise architecture leadership, technical direction, standards, and solution guidance to technical teams, analysts, and vendors.
