IT Business Services Senior Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Business Services Senior Consultant at its Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location. The role defines, executes, and manages IT strategy, governance, and standards across people, processes, technologies, and the IT operating model. It drives central IT functions, including policy and governance rollouts, training, communication, coaching, and KPI definition and measurement. The consultant ensures IT governance is appropriately addressed in IT projects, products, and internal processes; supports escalations where needed; and aligns with SAP internal functions covering the same topics. The role also manages and supports strategies that enable corporate objectives and provide transparency, plans and tracks strategic and operational change management, coaches on process and system changes, and identifies, plans, consults on, delivers, and tracks training. The consultant works with the business to identify requirements and needs for provided services and maintains a holistic view of the IT business service portfolio. The work model is hybrid; travel is not applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields, plus four years of experience.
- Four years of experience administering SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, HANA Database, SUSE Linux, and network load balancers.
- Four years of experience leading end-to-end SAP OS/DB migrations and release upgrade projects.
- Four years of experience designing and developing future-state architecture focused on high availability and disaster recovery.
- Four years of experience analyzing S/4HANA data footprint, including server downsizing and upsizing.
- Four years of experience defining service plans and handling stakeholder management, governance, reporting, and risk and escalation management.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – OS/DB Migration.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA.
Responsibilities
- Drive and execute central IT functions, including rollout of policies and governance, training, communication, coaching, and KPI definition and measurement.
- Ensure IT governance topics are appropriately covered within IT projects, IT products, and internal IT processes.
- Support escalations where necessary and align with SAP internal functions covering the same topics.
- Manage and support the development of strategies that enable corporate objectives and provide transparency.
- Plan, conceive, implement, and track strategic and operational change management measures.
- Coach stakeholders on process and system changes.
- Identify training demand, plan training activities, consult on training execution, deliver training, and track training success.
- Work closely with the business to identify requirements and needs for provided services.
- Maintain a holistic view of the overall IT business service portfolio.
