IT Business Services Senior Consultant (Multiple Positions Available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Business Services Senior Consultant to drive and execute core central IT functions, including policy and governance rollouts, training, communications, coaching, and KPI definition and measurement. The role supports IT governance across projects, products, and internal processes, and works with SAP internal functions responsible for related topics. It also supports strategies that advance corporate objectives and provide transparency, and maintains a holistic view of the IT business service portfolio. The consultant plans, designs, implements, and tracks strategic and operational change management measures; coaches stakeholders through process and system changes; identifies training needs; plans, advises on, and delivers training; and tracks training outcomes. The role works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and needs for the services provided. The position is based at SAP's Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location and is fully remote. It requires up to 20% domestic and international travel to various SAP offices to meet customers regarding engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, plus six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields plus four years of experience.
- At least four years of experience in client engagement and account management for enterprise cloud or ERP customers.
- At least four years of experience in end-to-end enterprise service delivery or program management.
- At least four years of experience in SAP architecture, implementation, upgrade, or migration.
- At least four years of experience in SLA-based incident and escalation management.
- At least four years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, on-premise or cloud, supporting ERP systems.
- At least three years of experience with hyperscalers, including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- At least three years of experience in commercial management of change requests and cost governance.
- At least three years of experience in release and maintenance planning for enterprise systems.
- At least three years of experience in disaster recovery and high availability design.
- At least three years of experience in program and project governance for enterprise cloud or ERP services.
- At least three years of experience in service performance reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure IT governance topics are appropriately addressed in IT projects, IT products, and IT internal processes.
- Support relevant escalations where necessary.
- Align with SAP internal functions covering the same topics.
- Manage and support development of strategies that enable corporate objectives and provide transparency.
- Plan, conceive, implement, and track strategic and operational change management measures.
- Coach stakeholders on process and system changes.
- Identify training demand, plan training activities, consult on training execution, deliver training, and track training success.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements and needs for provided services.
- Maintain a holistic view of the overall IT business service portfolio.
- Travel to SAP offices domestically and internationally, up to 20%, to meet customers regarding engagements.
