About The Position

The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance. The Associate Director IT Business Management will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the IT business management functions within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, and the integration of IT processes to support the company's objectives. The Associate Director will collaborate with various departments to ensure the alignment of IT initiatives with business goals and will be responsible for managing IT projects, budgets, and resources effectively. Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT business strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the IT department.
  • Mitigate risks by following established procedures, monitoring controls, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Manage the IT budget, including forecasting, allocation, and monitoring of expenditures.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve IT processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and standards across the IT department.
  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to integrate IT solutions that support business objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team.
  • Develop and mentor staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
