About The Position

The IT Business Analyst bridges business needs and technology solutions at Independent Living Systems (ILS), supporting its affiliated health plans, Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care. The role gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements to align IT projects with organizational goals and regulatory standards. It facilitates communication among stakeholders, including clinical staff, management, and IT teams, and supports the delivery of technology solutions that improve member care, operational efficiency, and compliance. The position helps optimize business processes through technology and manage change effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in healthcare or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of business requirements gathering, use case development, and workflow analysis.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing and change management processes.
• Familiarity with SQL, Visio, and the SDLC.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Business analysis certification such as CBAP or CCBA, or related professional credentials.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems or healthcare IT platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and their impact on IT projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Advanced experience in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and use cases.
• Develop and maintain process workflows and diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio to visualize current- and future-state processes.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that system solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
• Support change management initiatives by communicating changes, training users, and ensuring smooth adoption of new systems or processes.
• Work with project managers and development teams throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to support timely and accurate delivery of IT solutions.
