About The Position

The IT Associate Systems Engineer will be responsible for the primary administration of the Helpdesk System, including ticket creation, prioritization, and assignment for both the home office and job sites. This role involves PC and smartphone setup and deployment, providing technical and operational support to users for hardware and software packages via telephone or on-site. The engineer will also support Microsoft Office software, printers, scanners, Audio/Visual technology, and web/video conferencing systems like Cisco Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Key duties include user account management (creation and deletion), IT inventory management, invoicing, IT asset procurement, software license management, and troubleshooting minor hardware, software, and peripheral issues. The position requires performing periodic performance reporting for capacity planning, researching and recommending technology improvements, and reporting cyber security incidents. This is a full-time office-based role with 15-20% travel to project sites, occasional after-hours coverage, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50+ pounds, crawling, kneeling, and crouching. The role reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

  • Experience in Information Systems Management, Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, and Active Directory.

Nice To Haves

  • Working Knowledge of Office 365 Admin is a plus
  • Preferred Network Plus, Solar Winds monitoring system and Web Helpdesk experience.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Administrator for Helpdesk System and Ticket creation, prioritization, and assignment for home office and job sites.
  • PC and smart phone setup and deployment; perform technical and operational support to users of desktop computers, laptops, and cell phones either by telephone or on-site for hardware and software packages.
  • Provide user support for Microsoft Office software, printer, multifunction scanner, Audio / Visual technology support, and the following web/video conference systems: Cisco Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • User creation and deletion.
  • Manage IT Inventory, Invoicing, and IT asset procurement.
  • Perform software license management, renewal, notification, and invoicing.
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot minor issues with hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, improved usage of technology for company initiatives.
  • Report cyber security incidents to management and IT staff.
  • Performs additional duties per supervisor’s direction.
